1.22 use the conservation of momentum to calculate the mass, velocity or momentum of objects

Momentum= mass x velocity
Velocity= momentum / mass
Mass= momentum / velocity

If a bullet with a mass of 0.2g is shot from a gun at 100 m/s/s to work out its momentum we do 0.2g x 100 m/s = 20 g m/s.

    3. No you put m/s^2 instead of just m/s because acceleration is squared but velocity isn't :)

  3. He probably mean's that the velocity units are not in m/s/s

  4. You could probably do m/s^2. Better :) thanks though. Really helpful!

  5. I think that it might be necessary to add what the 'conservation of momentum' is:
    Momentum is conserved when no external forces i.e. the total momentum after is the same as before.

  7. The units for momentum are kg m/s.
    I think you made a typo in saying 100 m/s/s, it's just 100 m/s
    Thank you so much for all your work on all of the IGCSE Science! This is a life saver.

  8. Wouldn't we have to convert g to kg? Because the unit of Momentum is Kg m/s. AND THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR NOTES <3
